Hours & Pay
This is a permanent, employed position, averaging 155–165 hours per month on a rolling rota.
Sleep-in duties are required.
Sleep-in allowance: £50.00 per night.
What We’re Looking For
We want individuals who can bring warmth, patience, emotional resilience, and passion into our home. Our children need adults who can guide them through life’s challenges, model positive behaviour, and support them in developing independence.
Essential Skills & Qualities
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally for 12 months or more
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
• Understanding of emotional and behavioural needs
• Strong emotional resilience
• Flexible working ability
• Positive attitude and passion for supporting children
• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide consistent care and positive role-modelling
• Support young people in achieving independence and emotional wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with external professionals
• Maintain a safe and stimulating environment
• Follow care plans and contribute to support strategies
• Promote the physical, emotional, and educational needs of each young person
